Data Subject Rights Request


Please use this form to make a subject access request or any other request to manage your data in line with the rights given to you by the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.


Data submitted via this form will be handled in line with the University of Surrey's information management policies.


You will need to provide satisfactory proof of your identity before the request can be completed. You can upload a scanned copy of any of the following at the end of this form: passsport, photocard section of driving licence, University ID card.


Your information will be made available to you confidentially via the University’s secure file transfer service Surrey Drop-Off.

Please note that the reason for collecting your personal data is to enable us to process your request. The University is the controller in relation to the personal data that you are providing and the data you have given us will form part of the records held by the University.


It will be kept by the University for a period of three years from the date of the end of the request and then destroyed automatically. It may be kept longer if a complaint or appeal is received and is not resolved within that time frame.
